The big cut!

After school today I took Karie to get her hair cut. She has been asking for a while to get her hair cut short. I made her wait a few weeks to make sure it was something she really wanted to do. She really loves her long hair. I didn't want her to regret it. That few weeks past and she still wanted to do it. She also wanted to donate her hair. She said if she didn't have hair she would hope someone would donate their hair so she could have a wig.

I did a lot of research and found a place called Children With Hair Loss. They don't sell their wigs and they make them for kids. Karie really wanted a place works just with kids!

The before photos. Her hair is so long and so pretty! At this point she was bouncing off the walls excited!!

Then it was time to cut!! She wasn't nervous at all! I thought for sure she would be since that is such a huge change but she was just so excited!

 She doesn't have thick hair but it's nice hair and she is donating 10 INCHES! That is just so awesome! I am so proud of her!

She was so bouncy and excited. I can't tell you how many times we had to tell her to sit still. Typical Karie.

The after! I can't get over how different she looks!!!!! She is so pretty!

WOW! No more hippie hair!! She looks so much older.

Of course I had to take her outside and get some photos of her new hair!

I am oh so proud of her. She said she wants to grow her hair back out again and then donate it. That's so awesome!
