I'll give you a moment to pick your jaws off the floor.
Believe it or not I did not start on fire when I walked through the door. I know, huge surprise. lol Karie and Kellan came with. Both went to the kids room and I went to service. It was more churchy than the last services I was in when I was shooting there. But, it's Easter. It's God's holiday. However, I didn't feel like I did when I was a kid going to church. It wasn't shoved down my throat and I didn't feel shame when I left. It's not something I will be doing every week. It didn't change my beliefs but they do have good messages. They also have different series that focus on different things. How to make your marriage better, your work life, your family...ect. It's not all "HERE IS GOD. YOU MUST LOVE HIM OR TO HELL YOU WILL GO!" It's refreshing. Regardless of my religious beliefs, or lack there of, I may go back if I see a series that interests me. Like I said, their messages are good. They are all good people. One would think an Atheist at church would be shunned but I was welcomed. Yes, they knew my beliefs. No, they don't care. These are the type of religious people I like. They like me for me. It's sad that people can't see that. So many hardcore religious people hate people like me. That goes for hardcore Athesits too. They hate anyone who believes in God. They can't see past that and think they are weak. That makes me sad. Why can't we just all get along?
Karie had a good time. She won an Easter basket filled with candy. Pretty much the greatest thing ever to a 7 year old. Oh and it had pencils in it. She had to make sure she told everyone that. lol Kellan was in the infant room. Normally I wouldn't leave him but I know one of the gals who works in there so I felt better about it. I'm that mom.
We went to my moms after. Saturday we celebrated Easter with the inlaws. Our Easter isn't a relgious Easter. It's all ham, bunnies and egg hunts. I love ham so I really like Easter.
I also really love bunnies. Not real ones because they freak me out. But cute babies pretending to be bunnies.
I mean come on!!! How can you resist that cute bunny. He's also really cuddly. And happy. And smiley. He's just a little joy.
I have like 3 photos of the bigs from the weekend. As a photographer I am not thrilled with this "I don't like photos!" phase. They hid from the camera. It's annoying. I can't wait until summer when I can catch them playing outside. They are more open to that.
The fam bam! I did NOT plan us all wearing purple/blue. It just worked out that way. lol We do look cute though!
Kyle snapped a few photos of the Easter Bunny & I. I can't even handle how cute he is. I love these.
Kellan is clearly too little for the egg hunt but Karie found his egg for him and then he just sat and watched all the kids find their eggs. It was cute.
Is it summer yet though? Outdoor photos make me so happy.
