Whenever I am feeling down I grab my camera and take photos. Being creative always brightens my spirit even in a very small way. Having K around brightens my day. He's a joy. He's such a sweet kid. He doesn't see me as anything but perfect and some days we all need to feel like we are. Some days we just need to feel like we aren't flawed.
I took K outside and snapped some photos of him playing in the grass. It was really the first time he has got to sit and just explore the new textures around him. It's been cold. It's still cold but we did it.
First it was put all the things in the mouth. He's that kid. His sister was the exact same way as a baby. However K is much easier to redirect so the eating the grass and leaves lasted only a few seconds.
The rest of the time he spent doing "The Hulk" or "Muscles" as we call it. It's so funny. Pictures don't do it justice and I need to get a video of it. He would grab the grass, tense up all his muscles and shake. He tilts his head up and look at the sky while doing it. The more I laughed at him the more he did it.
He would suck his lips in too. Oh an make funny noises while he did it. I swear he knows just how to make his mama smile!
Over and over and over he kept doing it. He was being so serious about it. He would look at me laughing and then he would do it again.
He was also really interested in the grass. He was grabbing it like it was going to run away and leave. He tried to grab a pine cone but I quickly had to steal it away because it was filled with sap. That would have been fun to clean up!
I love that he is so silly. I love that he can make me smile no matter what. I makes me so excited for summer and being able to see him experience all the new things to come!
A whole new, funny, world!
