Baby Nerd

Before Kellan was born I had this idea in my head of a shot I wanted of him as a newborn. My red coke crate, old cameras (one we used from our pregnancy annoucement), my vintage photography book, the braided wool I made and these silly glasses. I had a vision and when it came to fruition I thought I had died and gone to cute baby/photography heaven.

It's one of my favorite photographs that I have ever taken. I have it on my wall and share it way too much. I just love everything about it! I hope to use these same props somehow at his one year shoot.

So these glasses. I have them at home. The bigs sometimes wear them around because we have two pairs. They are funny and make us all laugh because they are just so big and obnoxious. I pulled out these glasses today for no reason. Kellan was sitting around just being his cute self so I thought I should put them on him just for fun.

I laugh out loud far too many time over this. K thought it was funny too or maybe he was just hamming it up. Either way it was cute.

I mean really! Come on! How can you not love Baby Nerd?! It's too funny!!!

Those two photographs are crazy to me though. He's growing so quickly. I say it everyday. Some days with tears in my eyes. It's so bittersweet. My last baby is growing far too fast. I am glad I get to stay home for the most part and really enjoy it. Kyle is amazing. He works so hard for our family. He scarifies so much for us. I don't think if I had 10 lifetimes I could ever repay him for what he has done for our family. He's amazing. I really can't say that enough.
