Kegan has been our child who LOVES Lego's. When I saw love I mean obsessed. He loves for Lego's. Recently Karie has shown an interest. Mostly building from her imagination and always building houses. ALWAYS!
For her birthday she was given a house to build. She told me it's not a house but it's a home. She was thrilled to build it. She couldn't wait. After day 1 of her cheer comp she built it. In her words "You can take pictures of me building it if you want." Oooooookay. You twisted my arm. Her crazy hair and outfit that didn't match and all. Oh let's not forget her cheer start that didn't come off and is not on her shelf with her trophy because "Mom, it's really special."
Kegan would be so proud to see how good she was doing. Only a few times did she ask for help and that was just to look for some pieces. She didn't want to build it on the table even though I told her our rug isn't the greatest to build on because the dark pieces can get "lost" in the pattern. She didn't care.
She worked so hard. Looking at the directions very carefully. Counting out the pieces and making sure each pieces was there before she started to place them. This was really the first time she built anything with Lego's and followed the directions. It's always been from her imagination.
And look at that. The "home" she built. She was so proud of herself. I don't blame her. It's so cute. She says she is going to keep it forever. Way to go, Karie.
I will build you a home, not just a house!
