Reading Rainbow

I love to read. I will read anything and everything. These days I get to read the occasion article on Facebook or one of the billion kids books we have at the house. Reading is one of things we try really hard in our house to get the kids to enjoy. It isn't always easy when they struggle. The kids have their good days and their bad days. They both like to read, unless we ask them too. If we don't ask them, they love it. Kids man.

It's no surpirse we read to Kellan. Well, mostly me because I spend bascially all my time with him. He is starting to become more interested in the pictures in books.

He really likes to eat the books though. So we have switched from paper books to those baby friendly thick cardboard type books. I really like these books. They are so easy to clean when someone decides to drool all over them.

It's fun to pull these books out again. It's been a long time since we read them. We only have a few of them. Most of them were sold in the garages sales over the years because we thought for sure we were done having kids. I'm really glad we changed our minds because I really like this kid.

I wonder what he thinks when he is looking at these pictures. We talk about what they are. Well, no. We don't. I tell him what they are and he just drools on the books, looks at them and sometimes gives me funny faces.

Most of the time he just smiles at me. He's a pretty happy kid. He smiles a lot. He just makes me heart burst.

I really like reading to him. He seems to enjoy it. Or at the very least he just enjoys hearing me talk.
