It's a new year!

I am welcoming 2015 with open arms. 2014 was a rough year. It was an amazing year but it was also extremely rough. I still cry thinking about my pregnancy with K. I cry a lot actually. I know that things turned out perfectly but when I think about how scary that time in our lives were it still upsets me. I still have dreams that we lost him or that I am back in that time and we were clueless as to what was going to happen. It was so hard to imagine the year ahead. It was so scary. Thankfully we are now in a better place. A much better place.

As I type out my blog post for today K is napping...in the Tula on my back. This thing is the best baby product hands down. If I had to sell every baby product except one, this is the one I would keep! It's that great!

So I have been thinking about what I want to set as a goal for 2015. A New Years Resolution one would say. Not a weight loss goal, a eating healthier goal, cutting drama from my life or all the other goals people set. I decided I want to take more photos. I know, I take a lot. But I feel like I don't take enough of just everyday life. I don't think my life is super exciting or anything, but it's MY life. I want to look back and my life and have the pictures of the every day stuff. I'll be old and won't remember it. I also want to take more of these photos with my big camera instead of my cell phone. My phone takes good quality photos but nothing even close to my big camera. I mean, I would hope not. I wouldn't have a job if that were the case. lol

For Christmas Kyle got me a Fujifilm camera. It takes business card size photos and it's so cool. I have wanted one for a while so it was an awesome gift to get. He also got me a frame with wire & clothes pins to hold them. I can't wait to fill it up. I used it for the first time yesterday. Once I have the frame hung up and more photos taken I will share it!

Today I pulled out my big camera and took lots of photos of K. It was just him and I today. Kyle was at work & the bigs were with my mom.

We have been working really hard on sitting up. Today was by far the longest he sat all by himself. He works REALLY hard on it. He also really loves that Monkey. We have a few of them. I'm pretty sure I need to go buy more of them in case the dog gets one, we lose it or something bad happens. lol

I love his little expressions. If you have ever met K in real life you will have witnessed his famous forehead wrinkles. Literally since birth this kid has wrinkled his forehead. It's adorable and funny.

K hates tummy time. I joke that he will be walking before he crawls. However when I put out his monkey he will lay and stare at him. Not for long but any time more than 5 seconds is great for him! lol

3ish months ago K ditched his nuk and decided hands are better. We still have nuks but really he just chews on them. Since he doesn't have teeth yet I am not worried about him chewing parts off it. Randomly he will suck on it but not for more than a few seconds. It's mostly fingers. He just really likes them. So beware when you hold him, his hands are always wet. I also love his blue eyes. I REALLY hope they stay blue. Kegan has brown eyes. Karie has an army green. So it would be awesome if K's stayed blue. All 3! For the record Kyle's are brown and mine are blue.

K has also started to bring things up to his mouth. Small things. He really doesn't care about grabbing at stuff. He likes to just chill out and watch things. When he lays on his play mat he grabs at things more. But really, he just likes to hangout. These little rings are great so he grabs at those randomly if I hold them for him. He also tries to put the ENTIRE monkey in his mouth. Hahaha

He's just adorable. That smile kills me. I can't get over how much he looks like Kegan too. I really need to put some side by side photos together. It's just incredible how much they look alike.

I seem to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. It's where I am now. K likes to hangout in his bumbo. It's such a great little seat. He'll sit in there while I cook, do dishes, clean the kitchen ect. He just sits and watches me. If he isn't in there when I do this stuff he is either in the Tula the jumper. Kyle uses the seat a lot too. It's funny when we put it on the floor because the dogs are right there wanting to lick his face. Mostly Elsie. She loves to give him kisses.

Within the last couple of weeks he has found his feet. It's cute, but since he hands spend a lot of time in his mouth his feet tend to get wet a lot too. He hasn't figured out the whole feet in the mouth thing yet but I figure that is coming soon!

He makes the greatest faces. He likes to suck on his lips and makes super loud sounds when he does it too.

I hope to make this a habit. More photos. More blog posts. More of it all. I know I won't regret taking more photos. :)
