An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

In 5 very short days Kellan will be 6 months old. Shocking. Quite unbelievable really. Time flies when you are having fun. The fun is just beginning though. This age is so fun. 6 months is when the AAP says you can start introducing solids. Both Kegan and Karie were older. 7.5 months and 10 months respectively. I fully expected to wait a while. However K is showing all the signs. It was overnight it all happened.

We already planned to do Baby Led Weaning. We did it a little with Kegan and a lot with Karie. So we cut up an apple and pulled out the puffs and let K figure it out.

First up were puffs just to see what he would do. He would grab at them and tried to put them in his mouth but mostly they just fell. He did get one. As you can see he wasn't really sure was happening. He eventually spit it out.

The apple was much more interesting. He enjoyed it. Not only did he like the taste but I think it really helped his teething.

It's pretty bittersweet though. My last baby is growing up so fast. I'm just trying to enjoy every single second!
