Last December I was barely pregnant. We had just announced our pregnancy & even though I was sick and felt like crap I was glowing. I was so elated that I was pregnant. I had a belly. Yes it was basically all pregnancy bloat but I loved that bloat. Kyle & I had a Christmas dinner downtown St. Paul that looked over Rice Park. It was beautiful. The park was lit up with a billion Christmas light. Kyle said he would brave the weather with me and snap a few pictures of my tiny little bump.
It was -17 degrees outside. We had a few coating of snow and it was just beautiful. COLD but beautiful.
I love everything about that photo.
Tonight Kyle & I went back to Rice Park. It was a completely different story. It was 50 degrees outside. I easily went without a jacket. We also had no snow. I mean, it was 50 degrees outside!!!! The lights were not all working either. There was a GIANT tree with blue lights that was only half working. Several trees didn't even have lights. Thanks St. Paul. K didn't care. He loved looking at all the lights. He thought it was great. We took another photo in the same area.
My once tiny baby bump has turned into a big baby! I love it! I wore him in the Tula all evening walking around. It kept him wear and kept me warm too.
I decided that night that every December we will redo this photo. It's a tradition that I am starting with K and I love it.
The big didn't want to come with. I was surprised but they went to my moms house to make Christmas cookies so I don't blame them. Hopefully we can sneak down there another night and have them check out the lights. I know they would love it!!
It's a new tradtion...
